Today’s design, perhaps fitting for the upcoming Easter holiday, is Fabergé inspired.  Although Carl Fabergé is perhaps best known for the opulent jeweled egg creations he made for the Imperial Family of Russia beginning in the late 1880s through to the 1920s, he also created a series of lovely flower and fruit “objet d’art” for the Russian imperial family, the Russian nobility, and many of the other aristocratic families throughout Europe.

My sketch is also inspired by the lovely warm spring-like temperatures we had today, and by my love for the sweet, exotic and delicate aroma of lilies of the valley.

With spring comes renewed energy (at least I’m hoping) and new beginnings.  I’ll keep you posted…
