Sometimes when I go down to work at the bench, I “veto” everything that I produce.

(Tonight was one of those nights.)

That got me thinking about expectations, pressure and losing sight of what is really important.

I came upstairs and rendered this design – an exact replica of what I was working on at the bench:

Colored Pencil and Gouache Black and Pink Wire Wrapped Earring Rendering by Joana Miranda

Perhaps I can learn at the bench what I’ve gradually come to realize from 211 days of producing daily designs here;

The process is often more important than the outcome.

Practicing daily helps to eliminate unrealistic expectations.

Live from your heart. There is no greater goal.
