Even though I have pressing business projects (a looming business grant application deadline, for one), I came home tonight after a Mahler 3 rehearsal, popped myself a bag of popcorn, poured a drink, and after a nice chat with my husband, sat down to finally get caught up with some of my personal emails.

I had intended to “relax” by taking the form of a couch potato in front of the TV, but reaching out to my friends and family has put me in a much happier frame of mind.  And, I’m very blessed to have a loving husband, a great family and some pretty neat friends, too.

Here is my design for today – inspired by a leaf, but somewhat abstract all the same:

Here are a few thoughts to finish out the day…

The ultimate lesson all of us have to learn is unconditional love, which includes not only others but ourselves as well.

(Elisabeth Kubler-Ross)

Never look down on anybody unless you’re helping them up.
