While July 4th is more of a beer-and-brats than wine-and-cheese kind of day, I thought kicking off my 5-day series of jewelry designs dedicated to fruit with this grape brooch was still appropriate:
Pondering the beer/wine thing got me trying to remember a saying I’d heard about mixing alcohol. It goes something like this…
“Beer before liquor, never sicker; liquor before beer, never fear.”
But I also found these versions…
“Beer after wine and you’ll feel fine; wine after beer and you’ll feel queer.”
“Wine after beer have no fear; beer after wine, ain’t so fine.”
I’m a one-drink type of gal, so for me it will be either-or, but not both.
