I had fun with this CAD earring design today.  Part of the enjoyment for me when I work on either CAD or hand renderings comes from imagining metal and gem combinations.  With CAD, I get the added benefit of being able to “play” around in the library of CAD files.  Selecting a metal, gemstone or background environment for that matter are just a click of the mouse away.   I think that yellow gold and lapis lazuli are a royal combination, and in this design they work well:

Come back tomorrow for more design surprises.  (I’m just as surprised usually as you are!)

    • Hi Pam,

Thanks! These were fun to design, partly because I the design evolved as I was working in the program (I didn’t set it down first on paper.)

I’m still struggling a bit with the lighting/backgrounds, but those things are the “icing” on the cake, really.

      Hope you are well!

    Joana,

Regardless of the lighting and background, they really are lovely. I would love to wear them. You should be so proud of your work!

Are you advertising on Facebook? You can put targeted ads there if you want to. (They’re free!)

Keep it up, it’s definitely worth all the time you invest!

    • Hi Pam,

Thanks so much for cheering me on! I know I am making progress, but some days I forget that so it helps to get some outside reinforcement.

I didn’t know that the targeted ads on FB were free. I’ll have to check that out. Thanks for the tip!

      All best wishes,
      Joana
