Every once in a while when the going gets tough, I’m tempted to use my blog to rant…
(But then I remember that the world is filled with enough ugliness and that few people out there probably want me to contribute my own ugly feelings to the mix.)
Besides, as I posted yesterday, one of the philosophies that I hold dear to my heart is:
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
Each day as I strive to create something beautiful, I’m doing it in great part to preserve my own sanity, and to preserve my faith in the goodness of the human spirit.

What about you? How do you create a slice of heaven for yourself?
Gorgeous design, I’ll take one of those. Hmm, I’m not sure I consciously try to create a slice of heaven for myself on any regular basis, but it’s a good idea. I think my slices come by accident here and there. I do like the idea of making it a daily, intentional practice. Well, I’ll have to think about it.
Hi Helen,
I’m certainly bad at finding time to pamper myself (the idea of a hot bubble bath always seems great, but I can never find the time), but I’ve found that my design a day project has really helped me stay positive and focused about myself even in times when it feels like I’m going backwards instead of forwards.
That’s worth a slice of heaven in my book…
Any new hair creations emerging from your “atelier” recently?
🙂 Joana
