I don’t like goodbyes, but I love new beginnings…always have.  “Nesting” in a  new environment energizes me, and I love that I SEE my possessions afresh when they are in a new place.   The process of moving, while stressful, also has the benefit of  forcing you to downsize and clear out clutter.  Going from a 5-bedroom house to a 1-bedroom apartment has proven to be the drastic version of this exercise.  I’m actually enjoying it!

And, of course, along with new beginnings, are the sweet ties to old friends who have followed the steps (bumps) and twists a move takes.  I have moved many times in my life and, as a result, have a network of very dear friends sprinkled around the country.  To them I send my love and thanks…and my fica tree.
