Central Park is one of my favorite places on earth. Even though I’ve walked for hours in this park, I’m still discovering new places and things to see. Here are pictures from a recent outing to my latest discovery in the Park – The Conservatory Garden at 105th and 5th Avenue. (I’m dedicating this post to my mom, because I could hear her oohing and ahhing in my head as I wandered amidst the flowers.)
Walk through the gates and you’ll find yourself under a canopy of flowering trees…
Amidst tulips…
Ladies mantle…
And, more tulips!
You might find a spot to nap…
Or, another to paint.
The birds are singing, and if you listen, you might even hear a magic flute…
Or the singing of dancing nymphs!
You’re shaded from the sun by magnolias…
And, cherry trees.
If you need a spot to read, here’s the place…
(Along with some light.)
Look down low for tiny blue flowers…
Or, up high for the pinks…
(Or, ignore it all and play on your Gameboy.)
What a feast of color!
This is the Conservatory Garden. I’ll certainly be back!
OOOOH! How beee-utiful!!! What lovely pictures and colors and SUN. What gorgeous flowers, all in bloom at the same time. Paradise!!
Thank ee for the dedication, that’s just lovely!

Another place to show you when you come back to visit!
The list is getting longer and longer…

Hi Joana,
Nice place and very nice photos.
Obrigada, Pedro!
Do you have flowering trees (like the magnolias) in Portugal? Do olive trees flower in the spring? What about the cork trees? I’ve never seen either, so I don’t really know what they look like.
Hope all is well!

Ooooh, aaaah! You are so far aheadof us here in the Midwest! We’ve got a few daffodils blooming, and that’s about it. Thanks for posting your beautiful pix!
You’re very welcome! Glad to spread the sunshine. One disadvantage to being ahead is that we’ll probably be broiling hot by the time you guys get your spring!
Looks like you’re racking up the sales at Empress Barrettes! Good for you!
🙂 Joana
