Some of these “graffiti”images were technically street murals done by artists. The photos of the blue face mural and the more sunny mural with the names of fashion designers was taken in Astoria, Queens. The other mural with the taxi and the girl’s face was taken near Chinatown.
Muito obrigada, Pedro. It seems like the best graffiti/street art examples are in the outlying boroughs and neighborhoods of the city. I was in Williamsburg (part of Brooklyn) a few weeks ago and was sad I didn’t bring my camera since there was so much interesting graffiti there. The good thing is that a trip there is only a subway ride away.
Hope you and Teresa are going to make a trip to NY soon!
Hi Jemoona,
You managed to tell a story in images – a kind of four movement Schubert piece with a sweet-sour ending like he liked to do.

Hi Pa,
Don’t know if you saw the revised text for the pictures, but I did redo it late last night. Nothing is ever quite finished, I guess!
I’m off to work on editing the 2nd of the pictures I took of Ma’s pendant. I’ll be sending it shortly.
Love you,
J
THese are great…..I guess street art in NY has become more sophisticated than in the old days.

I’ll keep posting more as I find them!
