After months of dormancy, my orchid recently produced a miracle of sorts…sprouting not just one, but two stalks of blooms!
Meanwhile, given that my free time these past few weeks has all but evaporated, I’m having to remind myself that a little practice on my illustrations is better than nothing. I might not be producing anything remotely miraculous any time soon, but I believe….

The orchid conflict: they are so wild and wonderful that when you paint them, you can’t believe that they were real.

My painting did the blooms little justice, but I learned something in the process (always good.) The best part about the orchid blooms is how long they last. That makes up for the 6 month dormancy period, I guess.
