Illustration of black hat with red bow by Joana Miranda

Today it’s hat’s off to these artists who inspire me:

Chelsey McLaren – for her whimsical trés chic, haute cute illustrations

Izak Zenou – for his seemingly tossed off, yet ever-so-stylish city girl illustrations

Arturo Elena – in my book, the master of the marker illustration

Donna Mehalko – for her bold lines and bright contrasting colors

What a lovely post, Joana! Thank you for sharing the names of the artists that inspire you! I really enjoyed illustrations of Izak Zenou and Donna Mehalko. I don’t know if you heard of them here are a fee names that inspire me – Jessica Durrant, Catherine Parr and PaperFashion and there are many more on Instagram. I’m on a mobile wordpress, so it’s a bit difficult to put together the links so you could view their work, but let me know if you’re interested and i’ll send you them in the next few days. Have a great weekend! Warm wishes, Natella

      Hi Natella,

Thanks so much for the email and for sharing with me the names of some of your favorite artists! I had seen some of Jessica Durrant and Cate Parr’s work, but I didn’t know Katie Roger from Paper Fashion. I really admire her illustrations since they have an elegant combination of line together with color washes. I’ve followed her on FB and I look forward to seeing what she posts.

I hope you’re well and that you have a lovely week! Joana
