To hallways and interior courtyards…

(And even the kitchens)…

Lisbon-ites have a love affair with tiles!  The tiles are decorative…

flower tiles

blue and white tiles with fish

blue and yellow tiles on wall

Or, they have a story to tell.

Angels smile down from the heavens walls…

And little blue birds chirp their song.

oh, so pretty, the tiles! I know where some of them are from, too. I love the angels and dancing couple and most especially the perky lil bird.
    I love you, too. MM

Thanks, Susan! Yes, the tiles certainly are poetic! And practical, too, actually. Having tiles from the floor to mid-thigh height (or higher) means less nicks and obvious dirt. We should do it in this country more…

      Have a great weekend, Joana

      Hi Helen,

Thanks, and thanks, too, for your patience regarding my slowness in getting back to you on your FB message. This has been a hellish week with no free time. Yes, let’s talk Thursday. I’ll look at your FB message to see your exact time table and will try getting you at a good time.
