Yes, just like that.  A few days ago, when I went for a stroll through the park, all signs pointed to the impossible.  Could it be that it would remain forever summer?

And yet, today the park was seemingly transformed! I invite you to come along on a virtual walk for a closer look.

Across the north end of the park…

heart shaped leaves with berries in the fall

To the Conservatory Garden

Where you’ll come upon a riot of colors bright (and muted) upon which to feast your eyes!

If water puts you in a reflective mood…

Then you can pause here to rest your feet, ponder your reflection and gaze at the water lilies.

(Or, further south on The Lake,  you can rent a rowboat and take in the colors from afar.)

On the pond

With the rustle of the wind through the trees and the crunch of leaves underfoot you might just forget that you’re in the city!

Wow, you are such a photographer! Lovely to see ny in the fall-looks like you are having the same weather as us- well no, it’s hotter here- 80 deg. But we are going to run into rain in the north now. Waiting for M to come down to brft she’s got a bad sore throat(plane) unfortunately. Yesterday dinner w pimenteis was just so delightful. I’ll send pix. How I love them! Tita looks ok, but is not, I think- well she has all her miolo. Only rui and marianna were not there. Nuno is the most beautiful man I’ve ever laid eyes on. Yes we did get to belem- had 2 p de bac and 2 p de belem- they were so fab we had to have 2 more. Lines of people out the door- the place inside goes on forever. We also went fall clothes shopping but not for little dresses as your cute lil drawing suggests. More soon Love mm

      Hi Susan,

Thank you so much! Your comment made my day, too! I love Central Park in all seasons, but I have to say that Fall is maybe the best time for photography in the park…the light, the colors and the flowers all make it hard to take a bad picture.

Hope you have a great weekend! Joana
