Thanks, Rita. I photographed that flower and its leaves in the Royal Botanical Gardens in Sydney. I don’t actually know what kind of flower it is – sort of looks like a tropical Iris to me, but I could be wrong.
With the oddly warm weather we’re having in NYC this winter I’m a bit at a loss when it comes to photographing nature. We’re no longer in Fall, but it doesn’t look very wintry out either. Sigh.

Go indoors and photograph all the decorated trees and wreaths. That’s what I’m doing in SF. No winter here to speak of.
That’s what I’m planning to do! In fact, I’ll probably start with our tree which will go up tomorrow… 🙂
The trees in the lobbies of the fancy office and apartment buildings around the city ARE pretty. I bet they’re lovely in San Francisco, too.
