This week I was intrigued when I espied a dapper gentleman waiting for the subway. He stood out since he was sporting a spiffy bowler hat and dark suit…
As my luck would have it, he ended up sitting across from me on the train so I got to “see the side with the face on it”, too! There was something Chaplin-esque in his outfit and demeanor and it made me smile as I sketched away.
It’s the Dickensian bow tie.
Dickensian? Hmmm, I didn’t think of that, but you’re probably right! Is the MSO season winding down now? The NYCB season ends this Sunday. I’m playing all the shows except for Sunday (have to be out of town that day) and I’m looking forward to a much needed break starting Monday! (Actually, the week after I have 5 Wicked shows, but having a whole week off to rest beforehand will be much appreciated.)

Definitely Charlie Chaplin! He was dressed like an Englishman! Very proper!
🙂 Very dapper, except for the expression (and I was pretty faithful to it, too!)

Hi Denise,
I don’t think it actually matters where you respond on my blog. I get notifications of all comments in my email, and so far don’t think I’ve missed any. 🙂
Hope you are having a lovely week! Joana
