As I’ve been exploring ways to go even further in the direction of whimsy with my illustrations, I’ve discovered that “cartooning” men is a lot easier than creating cartoons of women. Maybe men are just inherently more cartoonish? Whatever the case, I’ve been paying a lot of attention to the women around me with an eye to simplifying their features while still keeping their look clearly feminine.
To that end, here’s a series of head sketches I did while I dined this week at Boulangerie Eric Kayser…
And while waiting for the subway…
And from my vantage point on our balcony.
Hi Joana… Great and very interesting sketches!… If you do not go out for whatever reason, you have interesting people right outside your. door! Lol
Have a great day! Regards… Denise
Hi Denise,
Thanks for looking and reading, as always! I hope you are having a great day. 🙂
