Although the oppressive heat in NYC this past week made going outside almost unbearable, I did have to brave the subway a few times.  Here were some of my companions…

When I wasn’t traveling about town, I was firmly planted at my drafting table working on whimsical cartoon illustrations.  My latest – a gift for my conductor husband – is called At the Ballet:

Joana when I saw the sketch of the conductor, I said to myself that looks like Andy!… So your husband is a conductor!… You have much in common, both being in the arts…

My family in New York were all telling me how very hot it has been, I think the temps were higher there than here in Florida!… Stay cool until next time… Regards, Denise

      Hi Denise,

It hasn’t been so much the heat (although it HAS been hot!) but the humidity that’s the deal breaker. Today it finally cooled off a bit (mid-80s) and the humidity dropped to quite manageable levels. I’ve been able to be in the apartment without the AC running which is a lovely change from earlier in the week.

How do you stand the humidity in Florida?

Hope you’re staying cool, too! 🙂 Joana
