Death and the TSA cartoon by Joana Miranda

I’ve been taking an (all-day) break it seems from cleaning the house.  But the interruption hasn’t been due to laziness or frivolities.  I’ve been hard at work on my latest cartoon art.  I’m calling this one Death and the TSA.

Here it is in the inked, pre-shaded stage…

And here it is in its final shaded version!

      Hi Allen,

Glad another one of my cartoons made you laugh! I drooled over your lobster roll picture. My mom is a lobster addict (I send her lobster rolls or lobster mac-n-cheese from Dean and Deluca) but I rarely have lobster myself – mostly because it’s so expensive. But your post made me think it’s time to head down to Chelsea Market for a lobster roll. 🙂

Hope to see you sometime soon! Joana

No – in fact, I haven’t flown for a while. “Death” tends to be a cartoon staple (maybe a cartoon cliche?) so I decided to try my hands at a few Death cartoons. I’m saving an even funnier one or my 2018 Calendar…
