There’s something about the arrival of spring that always gets me into this mode…

(In case, you’re wondering, I’m the one spending time with the sponge and spray cleaner – not the one goofing off playing broom guitar!)

I’m also the one making multiple trips with donations to our local thrift store.

Because at the end of the day…

Happiness resides not in possessions, and not in gold, happiness dwells in the soul.

      Hi Maureen,

The baskets are now at Housing Works (near you.) If only I’d known, I would have given you your pick! (And no, Andy doesn’t play the broom guitar…not even sure he knows where I keep the broom. Hee-hee!)

Of course, I would NEVER give anything you gave me away. I have safely guarded every treasure… 😉

      Hi Simplywendi,

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your nice comment! I have lots more cartoons and illustrations on display in my shop at Etsy, though I am currently on a short break and have put my shop into vacation mode for a week. In addition to my blog, I post regularly on Instagram (joanamirandastudio) so I hope you’ll visit me again soon. 🙂

      With all best wishes,
      Joana

          Hi simplywendi,

Your comment made my day. I briefly checked out your site last night (a quick break in my mad scramble to pack up for our trip) and I will return soon to read more. I’m so sorry to learn that you’ve suffered from chronic illness! I had a rather rough year of not quite feeling myself and then developing anxiety. Humor and trying to do more of what I truly love (drawing, cartooning, looking for the funny in life…) has helped me get back to a better balance. (Well that and lot of meditation, yoga and outside support, too!) Wishing you much love, laughter and peace as you cope with the challenges you face!

          🙂 Joana
