Yesterday afternoon I took a stroll over to the Conservatory Garden.  The previous week, the tulips were only in bud stage, so I was delighted to find them at their peak this time around.  The lilacs, dogwoods and wisteria all cooperated as well.  Too bad my site doesn’t provide smell-o-vision because the delicate floral perfume was magical, too!

Happy Spring!

Thanks! Wow! I didn’t realize Milwaukee was that far behind. The trees here are now filling out with leaves – some of them already darker green – and the tulips out front of our building were already chopped down to make room for the summer plantings. Spring really does seem short…maybe that’s why it’s so magical?

I love dogwood blossoms even more than magnolias. I think it’s because they look so pristine and appealing symmetrical to me. The magnolia blooms remind me a bit of floppy donkey ears (plus they seem to start to wilt and brown almost immediately.)
