Recently I’ve been eating up episodes of The Great British Baking Show.  The show is action-packed (3 baking challenges per show) and there is enough variety in the challenges to keep me entertained and interested.  Plus, I’m really loving the vibe of the show overall.  Unlike many cooking shows this side of the pond, there seems to be a gentle camaraderie among the contestants, and unfailingly good sportsmanship is served up right alongside the tarts, pies, breads and cakes.

So if I get sucked into the Boob Tube, don’t worry.  It’s all wholesome (thought not necessarily wholewheat!) fun.

Cheerio!

Hi Ed, How lovely to hear from you! We accidentally started watching Season 5 of the Great British Baking Show, but are now going back in order starting with Season 1. The vibe really IS different from the American cooking shows. Cut-throat, cocky and snarky is not exactly my cup of tea, so I’m glad we’ve found the GBBS. I hope all is well and that you are enjoying a nice fall in Milwaukee! 🙂 Joana
