Then perhaps a dose of solitude is what you may, in fact, need more than anything else!

But to get the healthiest benefit from time spent alone, you should stick to a few guidelines such as these.

High on MY list of solitary recharging activities are:

  1. Drawing
  2. Baking
  3. Walking in nature (though anytime spent outdoors in the fresh air always helps to lift my mood!)
  4. Photographing the beauty around me
  5. Taking little cat naps every now and then.  (Playing with a REAL cat – or dog, if that’s your thing – is pretty therapeutic, too!)
  6. Cleaning/De-cluttering
  7. Meditating
  8. Taking a hot bath
  9. Finishing my shower with a cold rinse
  10. Yoga
