Yet I never get over my surprise and delight at the arrival of spring each year.

I feel very lucky to live in New York City, and even more fortunate that we live so close to the vast green space known as Central Park. I love pretty much ALL of the park (in every season), but one of my all time favorite places to go in the park is the Conservatory Garden. And yes, I’m especially partial to the garden when spring arrives.

In case you don’t live near Central Park – or spring hasn’t yet fully arrived in your “neck of the woods” – I thought you might like seeing these pictures from my outing to the Conservatory Garden this afternoon. The only thing missing is Smellovision (and maybe vitamin D).

Enjoy!

Hi Helen, I actually saw pictures of your snow yesterday (Larry sent me pictures of Yankee Hill from his vantage point view next door.):-) In those pictures I also saw the new “streetcars.” Wow! That’s a change! Have you ridden on any of them? Are they useful? I hope the flowers spring up in your garden very soon! xox – Joana
