I was away from home all last week. However, being away from my drafting table and usual drawing supplies didn’t stop me from sketching, creating drawing videos or working on new illustration projects. Here’s what I’ve been working on:
My new illustration projects include…

Creating a series of whimsical illustrations, like the one above, for my soon-to-launch line of e-cards.
And…
Posting my Inktober 2019 series of free-hand ink drawings.
Here’s today’s post…
(Even though the Inktober 2019 challenge wraps up tomorrow, I plan to continue to post drawing videos and fun illustration-related tutorials on my channel. Click the red Subscribe button here so you don’t miss out on the fun!)
October is almost over, but there’s still time…
To check out my whimsical children’s book illustration which has been featured all month on the homepage of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Metropolitan Chapter website! I’ve been a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators for a little over a year now. During that time, I’ve enjoyed participating in the monthly Draw This illustration challenges (view my October submission in this post) and I LOVE, LOVE attending the monthly Sketch/Write meetups.

(Even though I was bleary-eyed from a day of flying home on Monday, I hopped out of the taxi and went straight to the meetup where I created the free-hand ink illustration above.)
Lastly, my new illustration projects pretty much include drawing and illustrating every free minute I have. Here’s a funny “quickie” of my husband done at the grocery store today on the back of our shopping list.

This world is but a canvas to our imagination.

They are all great, but oh poor husband, looks a wee bit tired! Maybe grocery shopping isn’t his thing (hee hee)…..xoxoxo
How did you guess? 😉 He probably won’t be happy that I posted that sketch. The nose is way off, but that was partly what made it funny (in my eyes!)
