I can hear you thinking…”What, Mother’s Day already? It still feels like March (pandemic) madness! Where has the time gone?!” Yes, somehow the days are flying and Mother’s Day will soon be upon us. About the illustration…
I drew the illustration free-hand using waterproof colored pencil. Then I added the pops of pink with my Daniel Smith watercolors. After sleeping on the illustration for a night or two, I revisited it and decided I needed to redo baby’s hair ribbon. This tweak was done digitally with my Corel Paint Shop Pro photo editing program.
The message inside the card reads…
Thanks for being there for me, Mom!
