If you’re exhausted from all the bad news over the past days, weeks, months, you’re not alone! And it’s not your fault, either. We’ve all been pushed and pulled in so many different directions that it’s hard to know which way is up anymore. That’s why I’m rushing to the rescue to provide some funny art for your Saturday.
Funny Art for Your Saturday…
Wouldn’t be complete without this growing list of hilarious artistic recreations from around the world. Personally, I think The Birth of Venus (#47 on the list) might just take the prize, though the recreation of Edouard Manet’s Spring (#9) ranks up there for me, too.
Meanwhile,
I’ve been at work on some of my own funny sketches as well:

(Because I SO miss riding the subway…)
Lastly…
Since there are still so many questions and unknowns about this virus..

I was delighted to come across this video (thanks, Ma!) that manages to finally answer each and every one of them.
Enjoy! And Happy Saturday!
P.S.
For my musician friends who read my blog, here’s a link to my latest musician cartoon. Maybe someday we’ll be allowed back into concert halls to put our other creative energies to use. Fingers (and bows?) crossed!
I love these, and I follow Covid Classics on Instagram. So fun, even before the pandemic. Now it’s surely comic relief.
Hi Helen,
I didn’t know about Covid Classics before my mom sent me that video, but I’ll investigate Youtube to see if I can find more “Covid Classics” videos. I loved the line about parents with children needing to start drinking at 10 a.m. Did you see the NYTimes story yesterday about the 5 year-old in Utah who drove his parents SUV onto the highway? (The parents were at work.) You should look it up – it’s a riot!
