Ink and watercolor free-hand doodle detail from Good News illustration by Joana Miranda

Are you craving adventure and travel? I certainly am! These days, all it takes is a sound, smell – or even the quality of the air – to trigger a memory of a trip I’ve taken overseas. However, since travel is not in the cards (or in the air!) for the foreseeable future, I’m finding other ways to travel…namely, via my imagination! My Moleskine sketchbook is fast becoming my passport to my mental adventures. The doodles can occupy me for hours and yet I never experience jet lag. Even better, new doodle art prints for my shop at Etsy are often the result!

The two free-hand drawn ink and watercolor “Doodles” below (created in my newest Moleskine sketchbook) are now available for purchase in my shop at Etsy:

Of course, not all the doodles I create are print worthy. But the journey seems to be what counts in the end anyway. Here’s a “flight of fancy” doodle I created in response to the daily barrage of bad news. (Because I’d rather live in this world. Wouldn’t you?)

Wow! Oodles of doodles. I love them, especially the last with all the good news. And the veggies. I love you, too jo-doodle!

      Hi Mm,

I’m glad you like my doodles! I think you’ll really like the next one. Hopefully, it will go up tomorrow.

I love the vegetables, and my fave thing about the good news one is that nobody is wearing masks! And they’re spaced normally, woohoo!

I think we’ll “get there” before too long. Sigh. But in the meantime, I’m enjoying wearing my new Heather Grey masks that came from LA Apparel. They’re really nicely made and a bonus is that he design doesn’t squash the tip of my nose (like my own homemade mask). I hope you have a lovely Sunday, Helen. Enjoy your garden and staying away from all the crazies out there.
