A year ago, I confess that I probably would have had to look up the meaning of the word “pandemic.” That said, as the days of this pandemic have turned to weeks, and the weeks to months, I’ve found myself adapting, adjusting, and yes, even looking for the silver lining. Even so, I’ve sort of stayed away from focusing on pandemic art more out of denial than anything else. However, this funny Get Well card might just be the perfect pandemic greeting card.
Pandemic Greeting Card from Joana Miranda Studio

The card is now available in my shop at Etsy. The greeting inside the card reads, “Hope you’re back on your feet soon!”
By the way, if mice are your thing (they definitely seem to be mine!), you might also enjoy this new mouse note card as well!)
About the illustrations…
Both of my recent mice illustrations were created with fountain pen and then colored with watercolors.
Intrigued by the idea of creating drawings with fountain pen and then coloring the drawings with watercolor? Settling on a good waterproof or water resistant ink is pretty essential for ink and watercolor illustrations. Here’s what I recommend:
P.S.
The original illustration for the pandemic greeting card above is actually for sale in my shop. Owning an original artwork is a unique opportunity. (An original also makes a great gift; and we might still be wearing our masks come holiday time…)
Well, the mouse being tossed about looks VERY happy!
Yes, he’s blissfully unaware…as I wish I sometimes could be. (Maybe taking a news break for a week would help?);-)

I love your micies! Tita and Puck love them, too! Xoxo mm
Maybe I’ll create some micie paper dolls for Tita and Puckee when we visit. I think it’s high time for some kitty interactive art videos. 🙂
