Happy New Year’s Eve from Joana Miranda Studio! I think we can all agree that 2021 didn’t necessarily meet everyone’s expectations. But rather than dwelling on past disappointments – hear that, pandemic? – I think it’s better to focus with gratitude on the blessings. I, for one, am happy that I get to live in a vibrant and exciting city.
Happy New Year’s Eve!
Continuing to count the blessings…
I’m also beyond grateful to have our pandemic “babies,” Ollie and Ziggy, in my life. They are “brothers from another mother,” but are now completely inseparable. They play, wrestle, and cuddle 24-7. I do my best to keep them fed, well groomed and amused…
(And they pay me back with purrs and cuddles!)
A Happy New Year’s Eve in our house…
Is usually a quiet one for my husband and me. Hors d’oeuvres take center stage, as done the champagne. There’s no TV reception, so watching the throngs of revelers at Times Square has never been our thing. Instead, we prefer to cuddle on the couch with a movie or a streamed TV show. Tonight, as with every night, I’ll end the evening with a meditation and a round of play time with the “boys.”
Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.

Happy New Year to you and your boys!!
Thank you, Jen! May 2022 bring happiness, good health and relief from stress for you and Grace. Who knows…maybe we’ll be able to see each other again soon? Wouldn’t that be nice!

May the new year be happy and healthy!💋💕❤️🐑🐑
That’s my wish for you, too. Plus, I’m hoping that the New Year brings lots of opportunities for us to see one another. Enough with the pandemic, fear and masks! I love you! J
I especially like the cartoon offering champagne to Ziggy! Here’s hoping that 2022 is a little easier.
Happy New Year, Helen dearie! I, too, hope that 2022 is easier for everyone. I think we all had high hopes for ’21. Maybe having no expectations is the way to go this time around? xox – Joana, Ziggy and Ollie!
Happy New Year to two very special people! Love. Paula Belanger
Thank you, Paula! And Happy New Year to you, too! Here’s hoping that 2022 is better for the entire world. It’s about time that we got a break from this pandemic, right? xox – Joana
Happy new year and thanks for your joyful posts.
I’m so glad you enjoy my posts! These days it can be hard to feel joyful. That said, rather than making New Year’s resolutions, I decided to just focus on one word – gratitude. 🙂 I hope your 2022 is filled with adventures and happiness! With all best wishes, Joana
Cheers!
