Today’s earring rendering is entitled Black Tie Optional:

Watercolor and Gouache Silver, Lucite and Rhinestone Earring Rendering by Joana Miranda

This earring design features silver with a black patina, and a rhinestone-studded Lucite ball dangle.  This is another design in the “soon-to-be-emerging-from-my- bench” category. I’m looking forward to having a lot more free time next week from my other work at the Milwaukee Symphony in which to make progress on many half-finished pieces.  Today, though, was one of those days where I felt lucky to get through the day without major mishap.  To start, this morning I found myself going through the motions of making a vodka tonic instead of my usual Vitamin C drink!  Then much later in the day, I realized that I had actually parked on the wrong floor entirely in the parking garage at work instead of in my designated parking spot (maybe I did make myself a vodka tonic?)

When I got home in the evening, I thought I’d barely have the energy to come up with a rendering for today’s post.  Somehow, drawing and painting gave me the second wind I was needing…so a thank you to my loyal fans and readers .  Your encouragement and support helps me keep disciplined and focused on what I love to do – design!

    • Well, the idea is that you wear a pair one day and then switch them out for another pair the next…a woman can NEVER have too many earrings (or other jewelry!)

      Love,
      Your daughter
