Although this might not seem like an appropriate cartoon film for Valentine’s week, please hear me out. The 13-second animation short, below, was made with a lot of heart (and some blood, sweat and tears, too!) Suffice to say, I’m so in love with creating my cartoon characters that I’m always thinking of new ways to bring them to life for myself and for you, the viewers. This is just the first in what I hope will be a long series of fun stop motion animation shorts!

While I’m not about to give away my (hard-earned) secrets for creating this animation, I can tell you that it took me all afternoon. That, of course, is mainly due to my inexperience with movie editing and stop motion animation. Next on my agenda is cleaning up the living room which is now littered with scraps of paper, pencil shavings and lots of extension cords. You’ll be happy to know that I’m a pro with the vacuum…
